Madball - Live in Oberhausen, Germany - 2003

This is a live bootleg recording of NY's finest Madball. Recorded 2003 in Oberhausen, Germany. To be honest with you, the sound quality of this recording sucks ass. So why did I post this? Just hearing the opening of "set it off" even in this shitty recording still gets me pumped up and nostalgic of past Madball concerts I've attended. Not to mention it has a couple of songs the band doesn't showcase live anymore. My favorite part of the whole recording, is when Freddy sings Nuestra Famila in Spanish, that's the shit right there. One of the things this band does best, is play live. So if your a self-proclaimed hardcore fan and you don't have a good excuse why you haven't seen these cats live, I honestly don't know whats wrong with you.

Ratface - Demon Dayz - 2007- Finland

From the Nordic Country of Finland, here we have Ratface. A Helsinki metallic hardcore band that loves to cum in your ear pussies . The album starts off really metal and fast, doesn't even sound like a hardcore album, until some dj scratching and a voice sample kicks in, they're blend of metallic thrashy hardcore takes it from there on. I'v noticed a lot of European bands including this one embracing the urban New York hardcore imagery, rather than the mop-top artsy type found widely in the states. Not that there is anything wrong with that (quoting "Seinfeld"), actually i think it kicks ass, me being a Madball fanatic myself. Like mentioned before, these Finns are on the more metal side of hardcore , but without sounding like a generic metalcore band. You know the type, the ones that say they play hardcore music yet neither musically or lyrically or pretty much anything resemble hardcore at all, except for maybe a breakdown and the clothes they wear. Finland is spitting out some really good bands like ST. Hood, Cutdown, and Bolt just to name a few. Ratface steps in and adds they're own personal personal flavor to the expanding Finnish hardcore scene.

Proudz - Rey De Reyes 2004 - Spain

From Madrid, Spain. The band known as Proudz. These guys have been in the Spain hardcore scene for more than a decade, and continue making sick ass records. This is 2004's "Rey de Reyes", "King of Kings",. Starts off with a sample from a Mexican-Chicano gangster movie. Sounds real familiar, I'm thinking "Blood in Blood Out"?. All I know is I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, fits well with the music. Musically it would please fans of Madball and Terror. Vocally, everything is screamed in Spanish, the vocalist Rana has his own little style going on. Lyrically, nothing new here , the same hardcore type lyrics we have always loved. Loyalty, pride, family, victory, all that good stuff. Awesome band, check them out.

Payback - Bring It Back - 2008 - Italy

"Bring it back" the fourth release from Rome, Italy's hardcore band Payback. This release contains two sold out works and four new songs with a special one featuring none other than the legend himself Roger Miret from Agnostic Front. Even thought the band represents Roma hardcore to the fullest, they sound like they emerged from the great NYHC scene. Which definitely isn't a bad thing, and most likely will be a sound that will constantly be presented on this page. I can see fans of bands like Northside Kings, Blood for Blood, and Stigmata getting into this.

Grito - Sin Dolor No Hay Victoria - 2007 - Colombia

What better band to have the pleasure of being the first one posted on here , than a hardcore band from my native country of Colombia. Grito, a hardcore band from Medellin, Colombia, say they draw influences from NYHC and bands like Strife, Minor Threat, Path of Resistance. In a country where the majority of its population either listen to Salsa music or Vallenato to escape the harsh realities of of Colombian life through dance or festive gatherings. Grito does the complete opposite, they illustrate the horrors of the Colombian reality, where every day human rights are constantly being violated, where injustices are very very common, and corruption has infected every entity that handles money in any kind of way. They also go against the Colombian stereotype of drugs and cartels, having straight edge and anti-violence type lyrics. Musically, its very fast paced, very hardcore-punk influenced. Vocals are angry and in your face, just the way i like it. Very subtle metallic influences. Very proud of what these guys are doing.

The very first post on this blog. I know there most be lots of blogs out there that feature hardcore music from all around. What makes this one special? Nothing really, it's a very humble blog, for those who want to hear good bands from different countries without having to filter through thousands of pre-existing bands in the worldwide underground and want to leave that job to me. Complete albums will regularly be posted on here. If you dig the band please find the way to purchase their CD. I don't want to be considered a music pirate, but I post these albums up because I know from firsthand experience there are lots of places in the world where it's extremely difficult to obtain good hardcore albums, this goes out to all those who find themselves in that situation. Above all, always support the scene. This page is just a facilitator to broaden your HXC horizons. I'm a simple man, so expect a lot of tough guy urban type shit , some straight edge, and even a lil bit of hip hop. If you like anything i just said, subscribe to this mother and leave some comments. Peace
